Students travel throughout West Virginia while connecting with various service organizations and contributing to various projects. This program also includes rock climbing and whitewater rafting!

This trip is $95 or less

Service WV Details

  • Cost $95. The university is subsidizing all trips
  • Student who are Pell Grant eligible will pay $0
  • Students who participate can enroll in a one-credit complement   (WVUe 188) to their First-Year Experience
  • Fall academic requirements: 2 reflection papers and 1 adventure activity
  • Trip size - 19 students
  • All Service trips are 6 days long
  • Following the trip, students will be able to log 14 service hours in WVU's community service tracking system, iServe.

Day 1 - Saturday 11:00 a.m. Check-in followed by rock climbing at Coopers Rock  Camping at Coopers Rock State Forest
Day 2 - Sunday Service Project in Morgantown at Madison Center Camping at Friends of the Cheat Festival Site
Day 3 - Monday Service Project with Friends of the Cheat Camping at Friends of the Cheat Festival Site
Day 4 - Tuesday Service Project and House Tour at Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Fallingwater home Camping at Confluence
Day 5 - Wednesday Whitewater Rafting on the Lower Yough River in Ohiopyle State Park

Day 6 - Thursday Return to WVU, De-issue equipment
